Selected work
The work
A commissioner buys a unit, not a mission statement. So this page is the unit, on the floor, doing the job.
You should not have to take our word for it
Everything here was shot by a unit we put on the floor.
Departments named on a call sheet, a chain of command that held, and a schedule that survived contact with the day. Where a film was made with a congregation it was made with them, and contributors saw the cut before anyone outside the room did.
The reel is short because the record is honest. It gets longer with every commission.
The reel
Sixty to ninety seconds. No voiceover, no captions over the picture, no music doing the arguing. Crew working, kit moving, a set being run by the women running it.
Pinewood Futures Festival B-roll and the AQS Liverpool film.
What a commission gets you
A unit that can work anywhere
A stage, a location, a street, a place of worship. We have taken a crew into a mosque during Ramadan and come out with a film.
Practitioners at the grade
Camera, grip, stabilisation, lighting, sound and post, crewed by people working in high-end drama now.
Faith-literate practice, written down
Scheduling around prayer and fasting, dress and PPE (personal protective equipment), dietary provision and contributor care, planned in prep rather than improvised at the wrong hour.
Liverpool
The full film. A congregation, a crew on a terraced street, and a building that agreed to let a camera in. The clearest thing we have about what access buys a commissioner.
AQS Liverpool film. Publishes without a year, a title or a producing credit until the record is settled.

The unit on a stage
A stage day cut down: prep, the first set-up, a reset, wrap. Shows scale and command to a commissioner who has only seen location material.
Pinewood Futures Festival B-roll, plus material to be shot on the next stage day.

Who runs it
Two minutes to camera from the director who ran the unit: what she was solving, and what she would do differently.
Founder interview, recorded. Needs cutting down.
Vertical cutdowns
Two short vertical edits for a phone, since most people meet us on one.
From the reel master, once it is cut.
Status
Done. The films named on this page are delivered work, shot by a working unit.
Opening. Independent production services as a standing offer. Terms are agreed in writing before anything starts, and what goes on screen stays yours.
