Accessibility
Tell us what you need and it is arranged before you arrive. You do not have to justify or evidence a requirement.
Say what would make attending possible, and we do it
Write to info@screensisters.org.uk, or use the access box on the contact form.
If it is easier said out loud, we will arrange a call, and someone else can tell us on your behalf. We confirm in writing what we have arranged, and say when we cannot do something.
What we arrange
Ask when you book and it is in place.
| What | How it works |
|---|---|
| Getting in | The annexe at 3 Mills is on the ground floor. In a community building we check access before confirming the venue. |
| BSL and captions | Interpreters from the NRCPD register; two to three weeks' notice is realistic in London. Our films carry captions corrected by a person. |
| Prayer and quiet space | Prayer breaks sit on the running order, and a private space is arranged for each session day. |
| Food | Halal and kosher as standard, plus a fully specified vegetarian line. |
| Companions, travel, childcare | A companion is welcome at no cost. Travel paid in advance, childcare paid directly. |
| Pacing | Running orders in advance, and you can step out of anything without explaining. |
This website: the standard we build to
Built to WCAG 2.2 AA and not yet formally assessed against it. When it has been, this page carries the findings, the date, the method and any failures.
We test keyboard-only navigation, NVDA and VoiceOver, reflow at 400% zoom, and target size on a small Android phone. Pages are light and never need an app or a login.
If something here does not work for you
Tell us at info@screensisters.org.uk. Say which page and what happened, or just say it is broken and we will find it.
A quick fix happens that week; otherwise we give you a date and the information another way meanwhile. Our complaints route is on Team and governance, and the Equality Advisory and Support Service advises on Equality Act rights.
