Host a screening in your building
A film, in a hall people already walk into, with an hour afterwards. You supply the room and a date. We bring the programme and the people who run the evening.
The shortest route in is a screen in your own hall
For mosques, churches, synagogues, gurdwaras, mandirs, schools, colleges, youth clubs, women's groups and community centres.
A woman who has never been inside a film studio has to decide to go to one on the strength of a website. Running the first evening in a building she already walks into takes that decision away. Nobody is asked to speak, to represent a community or to explain a practice to a room. Opening: bookings open as each term of the programme does.
The whole arrangement
You provide
A room that darkens, with mains power and seating. Somebody to let us in and lock up. A wall or a screen to project onto, and a room we can use for prayer if you have one.
We bring
The programme and the clearance to show it, and two people to run the evening and the conversation afterwards. Insurance and a risk assessment in advance, staff checked at the level the law allows, one named person responsible on the day. Food where the evening needs it: a vegetarian line, halal and kosher sourced separately.

A film, and then a room
Something that changed something, or work made by women who trained here. Doors, a short word, the film, then a break for prayer and food before anyone talks.
The hour afterwards
Facilitated, ground rules agreed in advance, nobody put on the spot. Afterwards you keep a note of the evening and a route for anyone in the room who wants to train.
A screening in a community hall rather than a cinema: rows of chairs, a projector at the back, coats still on. Every screening photograph we hold is of a cinema.
A hosted evening, once the first is booked. Consent needed from the building and from everyone identifiable.
Projection, sound and any camera in the room are not owned by Screen Sisters. Where your building has none, they are arranged with their owner and confirmed before a date is committed. Opening.
