Recommended by name
At the Islamic Society of Britain's *Muslims in TV & Film* event on 11 April 2026, both Screen Sisters directors spoke. The ISB's own write-up of the event recommends Screen Sisters and Futures in Film CIC by name.

A working unit on a stage
Done. The Dynamic Cinematography Production Simulation, 3 Mills Studios, 2 to 4 March 2026.
Monday was prep and the stage build. Tuesday was rehearsal, blocking and technical testing. Wednesday was the full simulation shoot: a real call sheet, a real chain of command, a schedule that slipped, and a wrap.
Production, camera, grip, stabilisation and exoskeleton, sound, DIT (digital imaging technician) and behind-the-scenes, with performers from a staged-combat academy. The 3 Mills stages are dry hire. Everything else arrives with us.
Worked on together
Collaboration is a different claim from delivery, and we mark which is which. The partner is named on Working with.
- Running. We partner and collaborate with a fellow community interest company, and work on its projects and activities. Separate companies, one shared director, arrangements in writing.
- Opening. The Story-to-Screen Lab is a joint programme with that partner.
- Done, as participants. Members took part in an industry module ending in a virtual production shoot at a studio, in a cohort beside students from two screen schools, working with industry-standard camera systems. The module was not ours to run, and we do not print a date we cannot evidence.
A crew, a mosque and Ramadan
Done, in collaboration, with a university partner in the North West.
A crew worked inside a mosque in Liverpool during Ramadan and made a film with the congregation. Women trained on that unit, on camera and on the floor, while the building kept its own timetable and crew members kept the fast.
No title and no producer credit is printed here. The paperwork settling who produced it is not closed.
Running, and opening
Screen Sisters was incorporated in January 2025. That is early, and we write it that way.
- Running — the studio base in East London, and technical days inside the industry's own buildings.
- Opening — the craft strands and the simulation, mentoring, and faith-literate practice for productions.
- Opening — screenings and events at the base, open to everyone. Communities.
- Opening — the referral route with community organisations, once the data-protection work is complete.
